The year is 117 AD. The Roman Empire is at its greatest extent, and Emperor Lucius Augustus needs governors to keep it that way. You are one of them. Summoned to the ruined city of Ambrosia — destroyed by a volcanic eruption — your task is to rebuild it as Juliana, a beacon of Roman civilisation, and manage the provinces that surround it.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is the eighth game in Ubisoft Mainz's long-running city-building series, and its earliest historical setting yet. Players govern two distinct provinces: Latium, a classic Roman sun-drenched Mediterranean landscape of aqueducts, forums and trade fleets, and Albion, a Celtic province where you can choose to spread Roman culture, preserve Celtic traditions, or blend the two. Production chains, supply logistics and population happiness drive the city-builder loop, now featuring diagonal building placement and production radius mechanics new to the series. Modular ship customisation returns from Anno 1800. A story campaign follows two playable siblings, Marcus and Marcia, through a Roman power drama. Endless mode and co-op multiplayer round out the experience. Three Year 1 Pass expansions — Prophecies of Ash, The Hippodrome and Dawn of the Delta — add new islands, monuments and an Egyptian province through 2026.

Key Features: • Two provinces: sunny Roman Latium and misty Celtic Albion with cultural influence choices • Diagonal building placement + production radius mechanics new to the Anno series • Story campaign with two playable protagonists • Modular ship customisation - trade fleet management across provinces • Year 1 Pass: Prophecies of Ash + The Hippodrome + Dawn of the Delta (2026)
