Build an empire to stand the test of time. From the Stone Age to the Space Age — one more turn, always.

* Prices for US region
Build a civilisation from a single settler on a procedurally generated world and guide it from the Stone Age to the Space Age. Explore, expand, exploit and exterminate — the four X's of a genre that Civilization invented. Along the way, every decision you make about city placement, technology research, diplomatic relationships and military posture will determine whether your empire stands the test of time or collapses under the weight of its own ambitions.

Civilization VI introduced the district system — a fundamental rethink of how cities work, requiring the player to physically place specialised districts like Campuses, Industrial Zones and Entertainment Complexes on the hex map, each benefiting from or penalised by adjacent terrain. Cities now sprawl visibly across the landscape rather than stacking everything onto a single tile. Forty-three civilisations and leaders at launch, expanded to over sixty with DLC. Six distinct victory conditions — Domination, Science, Culture, Religion, Diplomacy and Score. The Gathering Storm expansion added climate change and natural disaster systems. The New Frontier Pass added nine new civilisations across eight DLC packs. Steam Workshop supports thousands of community mods.
