Empyrion: Galactic Survival is a 3D open-world space sandbox that blends survival, base-building, space simulation and first-person action into a single continuous experience. Unlike games where "base" and "spaceship" are separate concepts, everything in Empyrion is built from the same voxel-based construction system — the shelter you build on day one uses the same tools and logic as the capital vessel you pilot across star systems on day fifty. Planets are hand-crafted with distinct biomes, weather, resources and enemy factions. Space sectors contain asteroids, derelicts, alien installations and other players in PvP servers. A deep crafting tree and tech progression links mining, refining, manufacturing and combat across every scale. Steam Workshop hosts thousands of player-created ship and base blueprints. The Dark Faction DLC (2024) adds a new story campaign, melee combat system and new enemy types.
