Last Shelter: Survival is a post-apocalyptic 4X strategy game in which the player constructs and upgrades a shelter in a zombie-ravaged wasteland, trains armies across three unit categories — Fighters, Shooters and Vehicles — and joins an Alliance to compete for territory on a shared world map. Hero characters with individual skill trees lead armies and influence base development. The Nation vs Nation event is the game's competitive centrepiece: servers are grouped by country, and seasonal cross-server warfare pits national Alliance coalitions against each other for territory and rankings. The game emphasises counter-unit strategy — each of the three unit types has strengths and weaknesses against the others — adding tactical depth to Alliance warfare. Long Tech Network, the publisher, also released Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire. Last Shelter has accumulated 51 million downloads since its 2017 Android launch and continues to receive updates.
