Every night at midnight, time stops. Most people don't notice — they fall unconscious, coffins appear in the streets, and creatures called Shadows emerge to prey on the unaware. You notice. You've always been able to move during the Dark Hour, and now you've arrived at Gekkoukan High School in Iwatodai City and discovered why: a tower called Tartarus rises from the school each midnight, stretching into an impossible sky. You join SEES — the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad — a group of students who also experience the Dark Hour and have the ability to summon Personas. Together you climb Tartarus, fight Shadows, and try to understand what the Dark Hour is — and whether it can be stopped.
Persona 3 Reload is a ground-up remake of the 2006 JRPG that helped define the modern Persona formula — combining dungeon-crawling combat with a rich social simulation of daily school life in Japan. Every day matters: which classmates you spend time with deepens Social Links that strengthen your Personas in battle, and the tension between building relationships and preparing for the next Tartarus expedition is the heart of the game. The remake rebuilds everything from scratch to the standard of Persona 5 — new character models, fully voiced social scenes, new music arrangements, new mechanics — while keeping the story and emotional weight of the original intact. The Expansion Pass adds Episode Aigis: The Answer, a full story epilogue originally from Persona 3 FES.
Key Features: • Turn-based Persona combat — fuse Personas, exploit weaknesses, all-out attacks • Social Links system — deepen bonds with party members and classmates to empower Personas • Daily life sim in Iwatodai — school, part-time jobs, activities and relationships all matter • Ground-up rebuild to P5 standard — new models, voices, music arrangements and mechanics • Expansion Pass: Episode Aigis — The Answer (story epilogue, Sept 2024)
