The Regime has colonised your home system. Their cities are built on your planet. Your squad is fighting a guerrilla war from the inside — get in, destroy as much enemy infrastructure as possible, and get out. The environment is fully destructible. Everything the Regime built can come down.

POLARIS is a four-player PvE co-op shooter built around fully destructible environments and high-mobility combat. Players take flight using powerful movement abilities, soar through dynamic open maps, and wage a guerrilla war against the Regime's occupation forces across detailed cityscapes, forests and other biomes. The destruction engine is the game's defining feature: walls can be breached, structures collapsed, terrain tunnelled through, and the combat environment reshapes itself throughout every session as players and enemies alike tear it apart. Vehicles expand the tactical options alongside on-foot combat. Each session is reactive and non-repeating, with the evolving state of destruction creating unique situations in every match. The game was developed by Polaris Team, an eleven-person division of Variable State assembled from veterans of Creative Assembly, Splash Damage, Ninja Theory, Rebellion and Cloud Imperium — a studio known until now for intimate narrative games like the BAFTA-winning Virginia.
