Three factions are at war over the power of Shadow energy. The Legion wants it contained. The Dynasty wants it mastered. The Heralds want to transcend it. The player arrives in the middle of this conflict with a weapon, an armour set and a fighting style to choose.

Shadow Fight 3 is a 3D mobile fighting game with RPG progression, in which the player builds a customised fighter by equipping weapons, armour and abilities drawn from one of three distinct faction styles. The Legion favours heavy weapons and brutal power. The Dynasty uses Eastern-inspired agility and precision. The Heralds combine shadow manipulation with arcane techniques. Each faction's equipment set defines the fighter's moveset and visual appearance. Combat is real-time with tap and swipe controls for strikes, blocks and dodges, and a Shadow Energy meter that charges during battle and can be unleashed as a Shadow Form transformation providing empowered attacks and special moves. A story mode advances the faction conflict narrative. Duel Arena provides asynchronous PvP using recorded opponent data. Tournaments offer bracket competition for equipment rewards. The game introduced full 3D visuals to the Shadow Fight series, which had previously used silhouette-based 2D animation.
