The Artefact Recovery Program sends teams into places no sane person would go voluntarily. Abandoned buildings, derelict facilities, forgotten locations on the edge of the map — somewhere inside is something valuable, and your job is to find it, load it into the car, and make it back to the road before whatever lives in there decides you are the more interesting find. The Road is a co-op horror and driving game for up to five players, blending extraction scavenging with the tension of getting everyone out alive.

A large open-world map connects multiple explorable locations, each harbouring loot, 15 distinct enemy types, road hazards and environmental anomalies that change the nature of every run. Communication is handled through proximity chat — even deceased players can still reach their crew over the radio, keeping the whole team in the loop until the last second. Survive enough runs and you can invest in car upgrades and cosmetic customisation to keep your extraction vehicle running for the next job. Play solo or coordinate a full crew, but either way: get to the car.
