Engineer Edward Waldegrave and his wife have disappeared. In their attic sits an elaborate doll's house — a perfect miniature replica of Waldegrave Manor — and somewhere inside its tiny rooms are the answers to what happened to them and what the Null had to do with it.

The Room: Old Sins is a tactile 3D puzzle game and the fourth entry in Fireproof Games' The Room series. It introduces the doll's house as a central hub structure: a miniature manor containing six distinct rooms — attic, study, ballroom, foyer, Japanese garden and submarine — each of which the player enters by zooming in until the miniature environment expands to full scale. Each room contains its own interlocking puzzles built from the series' signature combination of physical manipulation, hidden mechanisms and the eyepiece that reveals Null-touched details invisible to the naked eye. The rooms interconnect: items and solutions found in one room affect puzzles in another, rewarding players who maintain awareness of the house as a whole. The investigation of Edward Waldegrave's fate and his obsession with The Null drives the narrative across all six chapters. Old Sins is considered the most structurally ambitious entry in the series, with its non-linear hub design offering a significantly longer and more layered experience than its predecessors.
