The Penitent One awakens again. The Miracle returns. Penance never ends.

The Penitent One has been awakened again. A new Miracle stirs — a miracle child prophesied to reshape the world of Cvstodia — and the cycle of suffering that has defined this cursed land shows no sign of ending. The Penitent One has no choice but to do what he has always done: walk forward, pray and kill everything in his path.

Blasphemous 2 is a Metroidvania sequel to The Game Kitchen's 2019 original, building on its brutal pixel-art aesthetic and deeply Catholic-Spanish visual language while expanding the mechanical foundation significantly. Where the original offered a single weapon, the sequel gives three — Veredicto, a heavy flail for staggering foes; Ruego Al Alba, a sword and shield for defensive precise play; and Sarmiento and Centella, twin blades for fast aerial combat — each with its own skill tree and playstyle. The player begins with all three and switches freely, and the choice shapes how the non-linear world's challenges are approached. The map is more open than the original, with biomes interconnecting in the Metroidvania tradition rather than gating progress behind a strict sequence. Each of the game's bosses is a grotesque masterpiece of animation and Catholic-inflected iconography drawn from Andalusian art, architecture and the Semana Santa tradition. The Complete Sacrament Edition (October 2024) includes the Mea Culpa DLC and all bonus content.

Key Features: • Three fully distinct weapons with individual skill trees: Veredicto, Ruego Al Alba, Sarmiento y Centella • More open non-linear Metroidvania map vs. the original's linear structure • Grotesque Catholic-Spanish pixel art rooted in Andalusian and Semana Santa tradition • Complete Sacrament Edition (Oct 2024): base game + Mea Culpa DLC + all bonuses
