Calyx is a real-time strategy and base building game in which the player establishes and defends a base against waves of giant hostile alien plant lifeforms on an extraterrestrial world. The game combines the resource management and construction loop of base builders with real-time tactical unit deployment, requiring the player to balance expansion and fortification against escalating creature attacks. The Avaris Corporation's abandoned presence on the planet provides the narrative thread — uncovering what they did and why the ecosystem turned hostile is woven into the progression. The Liquidator AI represents a secondary threat operating with its own agenda. The game entered Steam Early Access in January 2026 with an active roadmap driven by community feedback.
