Cut the Rope

A candy arrived in a mysterious box. Om Nom, the small green creature living inside it, is very hungry. The candy is hanging from ropes. The ropes can be cut. The rest is physics.

Cut the Rope is a physics-based puzzle game in which the player swipes to cut ropes suspending a piece of candy and guides it into the waiting mouth of Om Nom. Each level introduces new mechanics layered on top of the core cut-and-swing interaction: bubbles that float the candy upward, spikes that destroy it, spiders that reel it in, and more. Three stars are positioned around each level, and collecting all of them while still feeding Om Nom is the challenge that separates a clear from a perfect clear. The game's 14 distinct level packs each introduce a new visual environment and mechanic set, keeping the puzzle variety high across more than 425 levels. The touch interaction — a single swipe to cut — was designed specifically for the iPhone's touchscreen and became one of the defining examples of touch-native game design. Cut the Rope was among the first mobile games to demonstrate that a physics puzzle could achieve mass-market success on a premium-priced model, selling one million copies in its first ten days.

Key Features: • Cut ropes to swing candy into Om Nom's mouth - swipe-to-cut touch-native interaction • Three-star collection per level: guide the candy through every star before it reaches Om Nom • 425+ levels across 14 level packs each with a distinct environment and new mechanic • Progressive mechanics: bubbles, spiders, spikes, portals and more introduced across packs
