Build your deck, outwit your opponent and master the chaos. Hearthstone never plays the same way twice.

Two players, two decks, one tavern. Hearthstone distils the Warcraft universe's heroes, monsters and spells into a card game where every match is a sequence of decisions about resources, board control and what the opponent might be holding.

Hearthstone is a free-to-play digital collectible card game set in the Warcraft universe, in which two players construct decks of thirty cards from one of eleven classes and compete to reduce each other's health to zero. The core game modes span Standard — using only the most recent card sets — Wild, which allows any card ever printed, and Twist, a rotating format with special rule modifications. Battlegrounds is a fully separate auto-battler mode in which eight players draft and combine minions across rounds without a constructed deck. Duels provides a hybrid roguelike format. Tavern Brawl offers weekly casual variants with preset or modified rules. New card expansions release on a regular schedule with each expansion introducing new mechanics and shifting the meta. The Discover mechanic — choosing one of three random options from a pool — has become one of the game's most recognisable design patterns. Hearthstone has accumulated over one hundred million registered accounts since launch.
