Marvel Snap is a fast-format collectible card game built around simultaneous play, three randomly chosen locations and a wager system called the Snap. Both players deploy cards from a twelve-card deck across six turns, aiming to win two of three locations by having the highest combined card power at each. Locations reveal one per turn and their unique effects — some buff cards, some restrict play, some destroy everything — reshape the strategy mid-game. The Snap mechanic allows either player to double the cube stake at any moment, and the opponent can choose to accept or retreat and concede. Managing when to Snap and when to retreat is the game's primary skill layer beyond deckbuilding. Each of the 200-plus cards is a Marvel character with a unique ability. Card variants offer the same card with alternate artwork in a range of art styles, providing cosmetic depth. Season Passes introduce new cards and story missions every month. Ben Brode, the former Game Director of Hearthstone, led the game's development.
