Rogue: Genesia is an action roguelite built around the horde-survival formula — an auto-attacking hero navigating waves of hundreds and thousands of enemies, growing more powerful with every level-up choice — but expands it with structural depth that sets it apart from its genre peers. Every run is shaped by a branching path map that lets the player choose their route between combat encounters, shops, rest sites and boss fights. Multiple playable avatars each have distinct mechanics and preferred weapon types. Weapons evolve by combining two compatible items, creating powerful hybrid forms that define a run's identity. A deep artifact system layers passive effects that stack into elaborate build synergies. The meta-progression equipment system allows permanent power growth between runs. Hundreds of challenge conditions — Cursed runs, Pacifist variants, custom modifiers — extend longevity for dedicated players. The entire game was created by a single developer, Ouadi Huard, over two and a half years of Early Access.
