Napoleonic Europe. A plague has unleashed horrors beyond war. Venture out, survive the dark and extract what you find.

War has already torn Europe apart. Then the Bacterium arrived and made something far worse out of the ruins. The few survivors who still venture beyond the walls of the Castle call these expeditions into the dark what they are: an exchange of safety for the chance at something worth having. Not everyone comes back. The ones that do built everything they have on what they extracted.

HUNGER is a PvPvE first-person extraction shooter and slasher with deep RPG elements, set in a plague-ravaged version of Napoleonic Europe. Players choose a survivor character and venture out on Expeditions into maps populated by Bacterium-created monsters, hidden dungeons and other players who may be allies or rivals depending on the circumstances. The loop is extraction-based: scavenge resources, complete quests, defeat bosses and return alive to extract the rewards. Reputation progression unlocks improved weapons, gear and cosmetics. Crafting provides gear independence from the marketplace. A player-driven economy lets survivors trade items. Solo, duo and trio play are all supported. Three maps launch in Early Access alongside over thirty weapons. The developer commits to no forced wipes, meaning character progression persists permanently.

Key Features: • PvPvE extraction: venture into Expeditions against monsters and other players • Deep RPG system: reputation progression, quests, dungeon bosses, persistent character build • No forced wipes: all progress persists permanently across sessions • Player-driven marketplace - solo/duos/trios - 3 maps + 30+ weapons at EA launch
