Walk the real world to fight monsters, raid dungeons and claim landmarks in a retro turn-based GPS RPG.

The world ended once. A deity named Mammon caused The Falling, and the lands were covered in darkness. The monsters are real, the dungeons are hidden in your neighbourhood and the best gear is held by the boss that lives three blocks away. Orna turns the daily walk into a retro RPG.

Orna: The GPS RPG is a free-to-play location-based MMO RPG in which the player's physical GPS position drives all gameplay. Monsters, dungeons, landmarks, wayshrines and raid bosses populate the real-world map around the player, and moving to their location initiates encounters. Combat is turn-based in retro pixel art style across a class system of over one hundred specialisations spanning melee, magic, archer and summoner archetypes. Each class has its own stat priorities and equipment preferences, and advancement through the tiers unlocks progressively more powerful variants. Players can establish a kingdom by building their home town and competing for landmark control in their geographic area. Raid encounters allow multiple players from different GPS locations to join the same boss fight. PvP challenges can be issued to nearby players. Northern Forge Studios updates the game monthly with new questline events, classes, items and seasonal content. A companion game, Hero of Aethric, provides the same RPG systems in a non-GPS format for players who prefer indoor or static play.
