SPLITGATE: Arena Reloaded is a free-to-play arena first-person shooter built around a portal placement mechanic that transforms how every engagement plays out. Players can place two linked portals on designated wall surfaces at any time, creating instant sightlines and travel routes that bypass the physical geometry of the map entirely. Portals can be used to shoot through, travel through or simply see through, turning positioning into a three-dimensional problem where the floor plan of the map is only half of the playable space. The game removes the factions and ability systems of its predecessor to return to the core arena shooter formula: customisable loadouts, equal starts, and pure player skill. Modes include Team Deathmatch, King of the Hill, Gun Game, Shotty Snipers and Classic Arena, which starts every player with identical weapons for a pure skill test. Arena Royale blends the battle royale format with arena shooter mobility and portal mechanics. A completely rebuilt progression and ranked system tracks improvement across seasons. Design Director Josh Watson, formerly of Rocket League, rebuilt the game's foundations after the community's response to the original June 2025 launch.
