The Emperor is dead. His heirs are gone. The Dragonfires that sealed the gates of Oblivion have gone dark, and the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon is pouring his forces through rifts torn open across Cyrodiil. You are a prisoner — the last person the Emperor spoke to before his death, and the only one who knows where his illegitimate heir is hiding. The fate of Tamriel is yours to determine.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is a full visual rebuild of the 2006 GOTY, running on Unreal Engine 5 for graphics and UI while the original Gamebryo engine still handles gameplay, AI and world logic underneath. Every environment, character model and lighting system has been completely remade. Mechanical refinements include sprinting, a redesigned levelling system, improved combat and new voice acting blended with original recordings. The remaster includes all original DLC — Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansion — in a single package. Announced and released on the same day with no prior warning, it reached 4 million players in three days and became the best-selling game in the US in April 2025. Nintendo Switch 2 version planned for 2026.

Key Features: • Full UE5 visual rebuild — new lighting, character models, textures, effects throughout • Original Gamebryo engine underneath — same world logic, AI and open-world feel • Includes Knights of the Nine + Shivering Isles expansion + all original DLC • Mechanical improvements: sprinting, redesigned levelling, improved combat • Radiant AI, freeform open world, hundreds of quests
