Every room in the Finch house holds a story. Every story ends in death. Edith wants to know why she's the last one left.

Edith Finch is seventeen years old, returning to her family's enormous, ramshackle house on a remote Washington island for the first time since childhood. Her family has always been cursed, or so the story goes. She is the last of them. Inside the house, behind locked doors and sealed rooms, she finds the stories of how each of them died — and experiences every one firsthand.

What Remains of Edith Finch is an anthology of short interactive stories, each depicting the final moments of a different Finch family member across a century of history. The stories range from the mundane to the surreal: one unfolds entirely inside a bathtub, another as a comic book, a third through the hypnotic rhythm of a fish cannery where imagination slowly consumes the present. Each is brief, distinct and complete in itself, and each uses the mechanics of its interaction to say something about the person living it. Floating text narrated by Edith threads the stories together as she reads from a journal. The game takes about two hours to complete. It won BAFTA Best Game in 2018 and is widely cited as one of the most accomplished narrative games ever made. Composer Jeff Russo, known for the Fargo TV soundtrack, wrote the score.
