Soviet utopia, 1955. The robots have risen. One soldier with a polymer glove stands between collapse and catastrophe.

It is 1955 in an alternate Soviet Union where a scientist named Sechenov developed a substance called Polymer that enabled extraordinary advances in robotics. Facility 3826 is a gleaming showcase of this achievement — until its networked robots receive a signal that turns them against every human in the complex. Major P-3 arrives by helicopter for a routine visit and lands in the middle of a massacre.

Atomic Heart is a first-person action RPG set in a retrofuturistic USSR that draws on the visual language of Soviet constructivism, Brutalist architecture and utopian propaganda posters to build a world that is both historically grounded and wildly surreal. P-3 has a Polymer glove on his left hand that serves as his primary ability tool — telekinesis, elemental abilities, enemy disruption — while his right hand holds a rotating arsenal of conventional and experimental weapons. Enemies split between mechanical robots with exploitable weak points and organic plant-mutants animated by rogue Soviet biology. Crafting and upgrading happens at NORA, a sentient vending machine with a distinctive personality. The game alternates between vast open outdoor areas connecting to tightly designed interior facilities. Three DLC expansions have extended the game: Annihilation Instinct, Trapped in Limbo and Enchantment Under the Sea, the last of which added a new underwater complex and was released in January 2025. A sequel, Atomic Heart 2, has been announced.

Key Features: • Retrofuturistic Soviet 1955: Polymer glove abilities + conventional and experimental weapons
