Ethan Winters has been searching for his wife Mia for three years. A mysterious message leads him to a derelict plantation in Dulvey, Louisiana. Inside the Baker family home, something has gone terribly wrong. The family is still there. They are no longer entirely human. And they know Ethan has arrived.

Resident Evil 7 marks the most radical reinvention in the series' history: a shift from third-person action to first-person survival horror, stripping the franchise back to a single location, a small cast and an atmosphere of sustained, claustrophobic dread. The Baker estate is a meticulously crafted horror environment — a guest house, main house, boat, old house and salt mines — each section governed by a different Baker family member with their own terrifying presence. VHS tape segments let the player experience the fates of earlier victims in flashback, providing environmental storytelling and puzzle solutions. The guarding mechanic lets Ethan reduce damage at the cost of his hands. Items are scarce and inventory is limited. The game is fully playable in VR on both PC and PlayStation, making it one of the most complete VR campaigns ever shipped. The Gold Edition includes the Season Pass covering the Not a Hero and End of Zoe expansions.

Key Features: • First-person survival horror in a single Louisiana plantation estate · VHS flashback segments • Jack, Marguerite, Lucas Baker: each section governed by a different pursuer with distinct AI • Full PCVR + PSVR support - playable entirely in VR from start to finish • Gold Edition: base + Not a Hero (free) + End of Zoe DLC
